Wearing the Wedding Dress-- again!

A long weekend at homeopathy clinic. Have I written about how much I am loving this?

Probably.

Since I am here in the States and no final destination has been decided upon, I feel responsible to my friends over at
Expatsinitaly.com to occasionally give a Sicilian tid-bit as I maintain this blog.

A sister class mate, who I have not seen in a long time, had gotten engaged and she is lovely, I was very happy for her and she has the usual anxiety, "am I doing enough? everyone else is so organized..." all that junk. One of the things I like so much about this woman is that clearly those things are not all that important to her. I understand her dilemna and the conversation turned to weddings, another classmate, had gotten married 3 years ago, He and I started wax a little nostalgic about ourweddings. And as part of the conversation, two decisions were made:

1.Me, or someone else (don't we all have loads of extra time?) needs to have a yearly event where brides and once brides take the dress out of the moth balls and put it on for a wedding gown cocktal party.

This is strangely important for me, I who barely wanted a dress, now wants to wear it again! I was hoping for us to have a party here in the states for the United States folks, but I am not so sure when this can happen, and I get sad thinking about not wearing the dress again soon.

Any thoughts on this dear readers?

and here's the seq way for the Expaters:

2. I promised to post a photo from the wedding. It was hot, we had been up for nearly 8 hours doing the wedding day thing, and it was nearly 100 degrees. We were thirsty!
